It was very close to the city centre.
I had a single room. over the bathroom was a balcony of another room where birds sat in the morning making a horrible noise starting at 6.30 in the morning.

Apartment for 4 people had 2 separate bedrooms and a nice kitchenette. The breakfast was very good.

I was looking for a hotel room, I found an apartment (breakfast included) at the same price!

The location is excellent, breakfast was very good. I stayed in a double room the first night which was very poor and smelled of smoke. I requested a change but it was not offered. When my friends arrived we moved into an apartment of the top floor. This was spacious and perfectly adequate, would have been good for a family, too. General cleanliness was good although you mustn't look too close and you will find that the cleaners just wiped the middle of the floor and not in corners or under beds.

it is very close to the city center, very accessible to bus and subway station
staff not as helpful and not friendly. One staff was upset because i have to get something in the car garage over the weekend which she has to physically be out of the front desk and has to leave the desk unattended.

Breakfast is ok, very good location, nice reastaurant next to the hotel
No lift, we had room on the top floor (difficult for familly with small children). I asked for taxi for 3 adults+ 1 kid + 1 infant and hotel staff did not want to help me. Only proposal was to pay for internet and find the taxi myself. Internet connection was not free.

Close to th city center.
It is very old establishment. It needs to be renovated. The car parking closes at 20h and opens at 7h. The staff is not very friendly. The room and the bathroom are small.

Hotel is clean, rather oldfashioned but rooms are big and have airconditioning. Perfect for one night. Parking was closed on weekends and we weren't informed about this until we arrived but fortunately a surveilled public parking is nearby. We stayed on a saturday so we could hear music from bars nearby but we managed to sleep anyway.

Great location. It was quiet. Good value for money. Good breakfast.
Some oddities: They keep the remote controls for aircon and tv at the reception, and only give them to the guests on request. On one occasion the reception lady was unable to answer a simple question about public transport in the city. But these are relatively minor things in my view.

The location of the hotel is very good. We were really in the city center and it was very easy to go to any other place. There is an area next to the hotel with a lot of restaurants. The food is ok and not so expensive.
I have 2 main negative points to mention about this hotel: the first one is related to one of the receptionists who was very unfriendly and unpolite. The other one was really nice and helpful. The room were we stayed was ok but not 5 starts (it was aligned with the price we payed). I think it is the moment for them to refresh a little bit the rooms; that would be great.

Location / price - Breakfast was nice, buffet. Price is right for the value. But with a little care the hotel could be better. Looks that they do not care.
We (age healthy 50s) travel often and had styed in all type of budget hotels, but will not come back to Residencial Roma - Lisboa. I want to make sure this is the first time I write something bad about a hotel, we are not picky. But this time I wasnt to mantion this problems. The personnel in front desk (afternoons) were extremely unpolite, not helpful, and had a bad attitude, trying to do the minimum, it was better the morning staff. Our room located on the 3rd floor (no lift) had only 1 very small window facing a building wall.. So no light coming in from window in the morning, and there was no lamps in the room, only 2 small lights bulbs in top of beds - they gave of a triple room instead of double for same price, but the room was very unconfortable, bad beds and too dark, The bathroom had shower doors broken and was impossible to close, so whole floor got wet during showers. Good things only- Location, breakfast and a/c in room.

The hotel is outdated but cheap and superb location.
The rooms are poorly sound proof. Basic budged lodging. Aircon old and noisy but did not need it in September.
